Samantha Monaco-Wenzel (Administrator, PreK 3 Teacher) Lutheran Schools and everything they stand for runs through her veins. Ms Samantha is an Our Saviour Graduate and couldn’t be more happy to be back here where she started. She said, “Sharing all that I have learned from Lutheran education with future generations brings me such Joy!” Ms Samantha has two children of her own. Both her son, Marcus and her daughter, Alexandria have attended Lutheran schools their whole lives. Ms Samantha and her children consider the Lutheran community a part of their family. When Ms Samantha is not at work or chasing her children around at their activities, she loves to sit back with a good cup of coffee and enjoy nature. In her classroom she has 3 rules: Be Kind, Be Safe, and Be Your Best. She believes kindness is the most important tool to spread love and she wants all people, especially children, to feel loved and to feel the satisfaction of sharing it. In addition, she teaches her students that even if you are not THE Best at something you can always be YOUR Best. God has given us all a special talent and that is what makes us unique and special.
Miss Megan is from Chicago and currently lives on the northwest side of the city. She has a bachelor's degree from Northeastern Illinois University and is 26 years old. Outside of school, Miss Megan is a dance teacher and runs a dance competition team. She loves being in the sunshine and trying new things! As a teacher, Miss Megan is hands-on and loves to teach through activities such as art, games, experiments, singing and dancing. She believes in a warm teaching environment, where students feel comfortable and safe to be themselves!
Miss Rachel was born and raised in Chicago, and still lives on the Northwest side. She is 22 years old and is currently working toward her bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education at Indiana Wesleyan University. Teaching at Our Saviour runs in her family. Her grandparents, aunt, and mother all taught at our school at some point! She loves spending time outdoors- especially with her dog! When it was a full elementary school, she attended Our Saviour herself! She hopes to spread kindness and love to every student she has the opportunity to meet. As a teacher, Miss Rachel believes that we learn best through experience. Experimenting, getting out into nature, and using a hands-on approach is what she loves to do in her classroom. She strives to make sure everyone in her classroom feels safe, included, special and happy!
